The UAE has ranked sixth globally out of 98 countries for developing AI skills alongside the human skills needed to use the technology effectively, according to the 2026 Global Skills Report.
The country was the top performer in the Middle East ranking ahead of the Netherlands, US, Singapore, Canada and the UK. Germany, France, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong occupied the top five spots.
The report said the UAE’s strong position reflects growing interest in AI learning, high generative AI adoption and efforts to promote responsible AI use through government policies and safeguards.
