Dubai’s economy recorded a real GDP of Dh473 billion in the first half of 2026, with growth in sectors such as banking, insurance, healthcare and construction helping the emirate navigate ongoing global economic challenges.

According to data released by the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment at Digital Dubai, real GDP stood at Dh473 billion between January and June, down from Dh484 billion during the same period in 2025, marking a decline of 2.3 per cent.

However, GDP at current prices rose by 0.2 per cent to Dh505 billion, highlighting differences in how various sectors performed during the period.

The figures, announced on Saturday, show that while some traditional industries faced pressure, financial services, healthcare, technology and construction continued to record growth, supporting Dubai’s broader economic activity.
